Kings XI Punjab

The most entertaining team of IPL 7 and runners up are a fan favourite among the neutrals. After five consecutive seasons where they failed to qualify beyond the group stages, it was clear the team needed an overhaul. The team management deserves the credit for their perfomances last season, as they assembled a near perfect T20 squad under the captaincy of David Miller.Predictions of a superb run bore fruit with a record of 11 wins from 14 in the group stage.

Kings XI have a well settled line up from last year. They have fixed the one loophole by replacing Pujara with Murali Vijay.Vijay's form in the overseas test tours of England and Australia and past IPL record means he is an excellent addition to the Indian trio of Sehwag, Saha and Manan Vohra. The next 3 pick themselves - Glenn Maxwell, David Miller and George Bailey. Maxwell enjoys a free role, while Miller has a steady head to go along with his explosiveness.Bailey can rotate the strike at will and an excellent finisher as well.

The bowling unit really did raise eyebrows last time out.It saw the emergence of Sandeep Sharma, Axer Patel, Rishi Dhawan,Shivam Sharma among others.Add to it the fiery Mitchell Johnson and you have a pretty balanced side that can go a long long way.
