MI are one of the best supported franchisees in the IPL with the Wankhede stadium a sea of blue at their home matches. With a strong pool of players to choose from, MI have a good squad depth, but i don't feel confident about their chances.

Rohit Sharma might be inconsistent while playing for India, but hes been a star player in the IPL, first with Deccan and now MI as their skipper. Aaron Finch is the new addition and is likely to open with Lendl Simmons. Parthiv Patel and Ambati Rayudu are the other Indian presence in batting. Then comes the all rounders in Corey Anderson and Kieron Pollard. If its a decision between the two, i would certainly pick Corey for he has certainly come of age over the last year or so. This decision might have to be made considering how weak the bowling line up is. Malinga is nowhere near his old self now and neither is Harbhajan Singh.Josh Hazelwood looks set to lead the pace attack assisted by Vinay Kumar who has had a good domestic season. Pragyan Ojha comes back into the side in which he played a major role in the 2013 title winning campaign.
MI have a new coaching setup with Ricky Ponting and Shane Bond handling team affairs. Two players who have been masters at their art, but i dont see MI making it to the top 4 to be honest.
