Match 17 preview - DD vs KKR

Delhi Daredevils managed to end their 11 match losing streak all right, but are faced with yet another infamous record. They have lost at their home ground in the last eight games and so Duminy & Co will be looking to end this drought as well with the new found momentum in the side. Back to back wins have lifted them upto fourth place in the IPL table, but will have their work cut out against the defending champions, the Kolkata Knight Riders.

DD look like a team on the rise with their pace attack the only real worry,The Indian openers have been on song , Duminy leading well with both bat and bowl, the spin duo of Mishra and Thahir bowling well in tandem - all pointing to a team which can pose a challenge. With Shami ruled out for the entirety of this season, Courter Nile and Mathews need to shoulder the responsibility with much more precision. If Yuvraj too plays like his old self, the DD will take some stopping.

The DD batting will be tested by a side which have versatility as one of their key strengths. Last match was proof enough. In spite of losing half their side with over 100 runs still to get, Andre Russell played a tremendous knock to help them achieve the target. Along with him, the pace attack is headed by Umesh Yadav and Morne Morkel ,the pair having previously spearheaded the bowling for DD. Gautam Gambhir himself is ex-DD and will look to leave a mark against his former employees.Sunil Narine looks like getting back to his best slowly but steadily. Ominous signs indeed.
